Ignoring the Kitchen

We have not resumed activity in the kitchen yet.

But, we did begin a diversion.

Next year we will either have a bigger garden or more grass.

It could go either way at this point.

Day 3 of Vacation

Hopefully this is the last pic of this awful setup.

We are very excited for our full size oven. No more little cookie sheets. Maybe the clock will actually work.

Bink has now said that he kind of likes the red countertops. I had said that all along. It was an issue of the combo of the wallpaper, countertops, flooring, and blue paint. Too late, there is paint all over the counters.

We forgot to putty the nail holes and didn't realize it until we started to hang them. (I didn't know which holes belonged versus did not.) Consensus was not to care.

Vacation, Day 2

Just a few pics of the progress.

All cabinets and frames have been stripped. The color is slightly off white. We would have loved to do a natural finish but because it is pine plywood and not pine, we didn't have much of a choice.

The interiors of the cabinet doors have all been painted. Tomorrow we do the exteriors.

Plan is also to build out the box for the oven that is currently sitting on the floor.

By the end of today we were both feeling a little punchy. More to come tomorrow.
